The news out of the AACE’s (American Association of Clinical Endocrinology) annual meeting last month was as welcome and long overdue as the Top Gun sequel. The AACE unveiled the first guidelines for the diagnosis and management of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) for—wait for it—primary care providers (PCPs) and endocrinologists.
